BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star is a new documentary that chronicles the band's in-depth journey through their 10-year career.
As a decade-long celebration, BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star is one of the gifts BTS has prepared to showcase their important and historical moments.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star summarizes BTS' 10-year journey presented in eight episodes.
Through the documentary series, viewers can look back at the group's early moments from RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook's formation to their solo projects and preparations for their anticipated reunion in 2025.
In addition to presenting never-before-seen performances and interviews, the documentary series will share behind-the-scenes moments with the seven members, including their ups and downs.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will also feature those behind BTS' success, such as HYBE Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk.
Not only that, the series also features an interview with the author of their 10-year anniversary book BEYOND THE STORY: 10-YEAR RECORD OF BTS, Kang Myeong-seok.
The titles of each episode of the documentary series give fans a hint of what they can expect from each episode.
For example, the first episode titled The Beginning will showcase their struggles at the start of their debut and illustrate how music was the thing that started it all for them.
The first episode will also showcase the journey behind BTS' first win on a South Korean music show with I Need U (2015), which eventually opened the door to their success.
In the second episode, Adolescence, viewers' emotions will be played out through the moment BTS began their rapid ascent into the global music industry, but also the pressure they faced in the wake of that achievement.
In fact, because of the hardships they experienced, the members thought about leaving the group at a time when many people saw them at the peak of their careers.
There are also RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung-kook's debut moments at the Grammy Awards, giving a speech at the United Nations, and performing at Wembley Stadium in London, which are featured in the other six episodes.
Very personal moments from the past will also be presented, such as the contract renewal process and the difficulties they faced during self-isolation due to COVID-19 canceling the Maps of The Soul Tour world tour plans.
As well as several other documentaries, such as Break the Silence: Docu-series, Bring the Soul: the Movie, and Burn the Stage: The Movie.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star has eight episodes titled The Beginning, Adolescence, Pursuit of Happiness, Disconnected, Welcome!, Begin and Again, Still Purple, and Promise for Tomorrow.
The documentary series is scheduled to air exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar with two episodes premiering on December 20 followed by two new episodes every Wednesday.
